Active ingredient: 2.1% sodium chloride (brine), sulfide and iodized water.
Excipients: ethanol 96 °, purified water, menthol, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, methylcellulose.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Gel for topical application to the skin.
Rub the gel into the affected joints and muscles 2-3 times a day, massaging them lightly. The gel should be used within 2-3 weeks.
Action
The healing properties of Bals Sulfur gel are associated with the presence of a brine in which there are sulfur compounds (sulfur (II), bisulfide ion, colloidal sulfur) and other ions such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and iron. Topical application has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect, increases resorption from the foci of inflammation. Sulfur ions absorbed by the skin are involved, in particular, in the synthesis of chondroitin sulfide acid, a component that forms articular cartilage.
Indications
osteoarthritis,
ankylosing spondylitis (AS),
cervical, shoulder and lumbosacral pain syndromes,
pain and swelling after bruises, sprains and rehabilitation after injuries of the musculoskeletal system,
useful in rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Contraindications
Do not use Bals Sulfur Gel:
if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
do not use on damaged skin.
Side effects
There were no side effects or exacerbations of the symptoms of the disease. In case of any undesirable effects, you should stop using the drug and inform your doctor about them.
Warnings and Precautions
If after 10-15 days there is no improvement or the patient’s health worsens, consult a doctor.
Store the drug at a temperature below 25 o C.
