Description
Groprinosin Forte tablets is an antiviral drug as well as a drug that stimulates the immune system. The active substance of the drug, inosine pranobex, inhibits the multiplication of pathogenic viruses from the Herpes group in vitro. Groprinosin Forte is used in the case of reduced immunity, when there are recurring infections of the upper respiratory tract, as well as in people diagnosed with herpes simplex virus when it occurs on the lips or skin. The medicinal product is intended for people over 1 year of age.
Composition
The active substance of the drug is inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyl dimethyl ammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1: 3).
1 tablet contains 1000 mg of inosine pranobex.
Excipients: potato starch, povidone K-25, magnesium stearate.
Dosage

The drug is used orally with a sufficient amount of liquid. The recommended dosage of Groprinosin Forte in children over 1 year of age and adults is 50 mg of the drug per kg of the patient’s body weight. In adults, it is usually 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets.
Treatment usually lasts for 5 to 14 days, and the drug should be continued for a day or 2 after symptoms have resolved.
