The dosing gel is a drug for hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It contains estrogen (female sex hormone).
Dosing gel is used to treat symptoms during and after menopause or after surgical removal of the ovaries (menopausal syndrome after natural and artificial menopause), as well as for the prevention and treatment of symptoms of urinary and reproductive regression organs caused by a lack of estrogen.
During menopause, a woman’s production of her own estrogen decreases. This can cause symptoms such as hot flashes in the face, neck, and chest (called hot flashes). The dosing gel relieves these symptoms that occur during and after menopause. It is also used to treat estrogen deficiency after surgical removal of the ovaries.
Estrogen deficiency can also lead to symptoms of regression of the urinary and reproductive organs. Typical symptoms include vaginal itching and burning, vaginal dryness, pain during intercourse, and increased susceptibility to vaginal and urinary tract infections. The use of the drug counteracts these symptoms because it compensates for the deficiency of estrogen.
Dosing gel will only be prescribed to you if your symptoms significantly affect your daily life.
Notice
Self-administration without regular hormone supplementation corpus luteum (progestin) for treatment during and after menopause can only be used in women who have had their uterus removed.

How does the drug ingredient work?
The active ingredient is one of the body’s own estrogens. They are crucial for the function of the female reproductive organs. Estrogens, among other things, cause the cyclic growth of the uterine lining, increase its viscosity, promote bone formation, and suppress ovulation and milk production. They continue to have an antiandrogenic effect, are able to compensate for the lack of estrogen in women during menopause and alleviate cycle disorders.
