The Mueller Hot/Cold Bead is an enhanced cooling/warming bag that, thanks to its gel beads, adapts perfectly to the part to be absorbed. The bag can be cooled in a freezer environment while it remains flexible after being frozen thanks to the gel beads, or heated in an oven. When frozen, pads applied to the gauge segment cool the area and thus reduce blood flow, reduce inflammation, reduce swelling, and reduce pain. Such use is naturally expected in the acute phase during the first day. The use of a heating pad is appropriate when it disappears. The heat then relaxes the area and speeds up healing.
