This drug is an antiemetic (antiemetic). It contains an active ingredient called metoclopramide, which affects the part of the brain that protects you from feeling sick (nausea) or vomiting (vomiting).
Adult
Metoclopramide is used in adults:
to prevent delayed nausea and delayed vomiting after chemotherapy,
to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by radiation therapy,
for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, including nausea and vomiting that may occur with migraines. Metoclopramide can be taken along with oral painkillers for migraines to enhance the painkillers’ effect.
Children and young people
Metoclopramide is used in children and adolescents (ages 9–18 years) after chemotherapy to prevent delayed nausea and delayed vomiting when other treatments are ineffective or inappropriate.
The medicine cannot be taken
if you are allergic to metoclopramide hydrochloride or any other ingredient of this medicine,
if you suspect or have been diagnosed with a rare tumor of the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma),
if you have bleeding, stricture or rupture (perforation) of your stomach or intestines,
if you have or have ever had involuntary muscle spasms (tardive dyskinesia) that were treated with medication,
if you suffer from epilepsy,
if you suffer from Parkinson’s disease,
if you are taking levodopa (the active ingredient against Parkinson’s disease) or dopaminergic drugs,
if you have or have ever had an abnormal number of blood cells (methemoglobinemia) or NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase deficiency.
Do not give metoclopramide to children younger than 1 year of age.
Do not take metoclopramide if any of the above apply to you. If you are unsure, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking metoclopramide. Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Adult
The recommended single dose is 10 mg (equivalent to 10 ml oral solution) and can be administered up to three times a day (orally).
The maximum recommended daily dose is 30 mg (equivalent to 30 ml oral solution) or 0.5 mg/kg (equivalent to 0.5 ml/kg) body weight.
To prevent delayed nausea and delayed vomiting after chemotherapy (children and adolescents aged 9–18 years)
The recommended dose is 0.1 to 0.15 mg/kg body weight. It can be taken up to three times a day (orally).
The maximum dose within 24 hours is 0.5 mg/kg body weight.

10 mg (10 ml oral solution)
Up to three times a day
To prevent delayed nausea and vomiting after chemotherapy, do not take this medication for more than 5 days.
Aged people
Depending on kidney and liver function and overall health, a dose reduction may be necessary.
Adults with impaired kidney function
Talk to your doctor if you have kidney problems. The dose may need to be reduced if you have moderate or severe renal impairment.
Adults with liver impairment
Talk to your doctor if you have liver problems. The dose may need to be reduced if you have severe liver dysfunction.
Children and young people
Metoclopramide should not be used in children under 1 year of age.
Due to the graduation of the measuring cup, the drug should not be used by children and adolescents.
up to 9 years (weighing less than 30 kg),
from 9 – 18 years (body weight 30 – 60 kg) with moderate and severe renal impairment,
from 9 – 18 years (body weight 30 – 60 kg) with severe liver dysfunction.
Duration of use
You should not take this medicine for more than 5 days.
If you took more than you should
Contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
You may experience uncontrollable movements (extrapyramidal disorder), drowsiness, problems with consciousness, confusion, hallucinations and heart problems. If necessary, your doctor can treat these symptoms.
If you forget to take it
Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.
If you stop taking it
If treatment is interrupted or stopped prematurely, treatment may be incomplete or partially successful, or the clinical picture may worsen again.

You can interrupt treatment with this medicine or stop it early! Except in cases of side effects requiring immediate discontinuation of the drug.
