What is Odomzo?
Odomzo (sonidegib) is a hedgehog pathway inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced carcinomabasal cell carcinoma ( BCC ), who experienced a relapse after surgery or radiation therapy, or those who are not candidates for surgery or radiation therapy.
What are the side effects of Odomzo?
Odomzo may cause serious side effects, including:
- urticaria,
- difficulty breathing
- swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat,
- severe or unexplained muscle pain or weakness (even if this occurs after stopping the medication),
- little or no urination, and
- dark colored urine
Seek medical help immediately if you have any of the symptoms listed above.
Common side effects of Odomzo include:
- muscle spasms,
- hair loss,
- changes in sensation taste,
- fatigue,
- nausea
- musculoskeletal pain
- diarrhea
- weight loss
- decreased appetite
- muscle pain
- abdominal pain
- headache
- vomiting and
- itching
Get medical help or call 911 right away if you experience any of the following serious side effects:
- Serious eye symptoms such as sudden loss of vision, blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain or swelling, or halos around lights;< /a>
- Serious heart symptoms such as fast, irregular, or strong heartbeat; flutters in the chest; dyspnea; and sudden dizziness, feeling or fainting;
- Severe headache, confusion, slurred speech, weakness in arms or legs, trouble walking, loss of coordination, feeling unsteady, very tense muscles, high fever, excessive sweating, or tremors.
