has the characteristic properties of absorbing and retaining wound necrosis and is resistant to stretching.
the insole with hydro-cleaning properties is coated with a soft, adherent healing matrix (TLC: lipid-colloidal technology) impregnated with silver. The TLC-Ag matrix provides antimicrobial protection and readily gels to aid in mucus drainage.
Upon contact with wound exudate, the TLC-Ag matrix gels, creating a moist environment for wound healing.
polyabsorbent fibers (polyacrylate) with hydrocleaning properties, absorb exudate and form a gel. These fibers bind the necrosis by absorbing and draining it, helping to eliminate it (autolytic debridement).
The Ag+ ions give UrgoClean Ag an antimicrobial effect that can reduce bacteria in and around the wound.
the resulting gel does not stick to the wound, which makes it easy to remove the bandage with minor damage, without damaging the healing tissue, painlessly or with little pain.
Indications
UrgoClean Ag is indicated for topical treatment of:
chronic (shin ulcers, bedsores, diabetic foot ulcers) exuding wounds with a risk of infection or with signs of local infection, starting from the stage of cleansing.
acute (burns, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds) exuding wounds with a risk of infection or local infection, starting from the cleaning stage.
Method of using a medical device
1. Wound preparation:
Cleanse the wound with saline. If an antiseptic has been previously used (with the exception of contraindicated antiseptics), thoroughly rinse the wound with saline before dressing.
The use of UrgoClean Ag does not replace mechanical debridement if necessary.
As the wound clears of necrotic tissue, it may appear larger. This is due to the effective removal of necrosis.
2. Bandaging:
Remove the protective film.
Place the soft adhesive side of UrgoClean Ag on the wound and its contours.
UrgoClean Ag can be cut with sterile scissors to fit the dressing to the wound if necessary.
If necessary, cover UrgoClean Ag with a second dressing appropriate for the location of the wound and the amount of exudate.
Secure with a bandage.
Apply a pressure bandage if indicated.
