Indication :
- The medicine contains the active ingredient domperidone, which belongs to a group of drugs called dopamine antagonists.
- Domperidone helps food pass through the esophagus, stomach and intestines more quickly so that it does not stay in one place for too long. It also helps prevent food from entering the esophagus along the wrong path.
- Domperidone is used to treat nausea and vomiting in adults and children.
Dosage :
- Always take this medication exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- Follow these instructions carefully unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
- Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose is:
- Adults and teenagers (12 years and older and weighing 35 kg or more)
- Usual dose — one tablet up to three times daily, if possible before meals. Do not take more than three tablets (equivalent to 30 mg of domperidone) per day.
- Children and young people from birth to a body weight of less than 35 kg.
- Tablets are not suitable for children weighing less than 35 kg.
- If domperidone is for children, ask your doctor about the pediatric formulation.
- Patients with kidney disease
- Your doctor may tell you to take a lower dose or take the medicine less frequently.
- Adults and teenagers (12 years and older and weighing 35 kg or more)
