Indication :
- The drug is a medicine with the active substance botulinum neurotoxin type A. This causes muscle relaxation or leads to a decrease in salivation, depending on the injection site.
- It is used to treat the following diseases in adults:
- Spasm of the eyelids (blepharospasm) and muscle spasms affecting one side of the face (hemifacial spasm)
- Spasmatic torticollis
- increased muscle tension/uncontrollable stiffness in the muscles of the shoulders, arms and/or hands (upper limb spasticity)
- chronic increased salivation (sialorrhea) due to neurological diseases.
- The drug is used in children and adolescents aged 2 to 17 years with body weight >/= 12 kg for treatment
- chronic increased salivation (sialorrhea) due to neurological diseases/developmental disorders.
