This medicine contains testosterone, a male hormone that is produced naturally in the body.
The drug is used for testosterone replacement therapy in adult men with various diseases caused by testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism). This testosterone deficiency must be confirmed by two independent measurements of testosterone concentration in the blood. In addition, certain clinical signs must be present, including:
Sexual function disorders (impotence),
infertility (infertility),
decreased libido,
Fatigue,
depressive moods,
Loss of bone substance due to low hormone concentrations.
The medicine cannot be used
if you have or suspect prostate cancer;
if you have breast cancer or suspect you have breast cancer;
if you are allergic to testosterone or any other ingredient of this medicine.
This medicine is for adult men only.
Always use this medication exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 1 sachet (equivalent to 2.5 g of gel containing 40.5 mg of testosterone), applied once a day at approximately the same time, preferably in the morning.
The daily dose can be individualized by your doctor, but should not exceed 2 sachets (i.e. 5 g of gel containing 81 mg of testosterone) per day.
If you used more than you should
Ask your doctor or pharmacist. They may advise you to immediately wash the application site, and your doctor may advise you to stop treatment.
The following signs may indicate that you are taking too much medicine and you should contact your doctor:
Irritability,
Nervousness,
weight gain,
frequent or prolonged erections.
These symptoms may mean that your dose of this medication is too high, and your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
If you forgot to use it
Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten the previous use. Take your next dose at your usual time.
If you cancel your application
You should not stop taking this medication unless directed by your doctor.
